Wintercon 2014

We went to Wintercon in Queens last Saturday. This was our first convention outside of NYCC. I had a lot of fun, and had a ton of pictures taken! Our DC Bombshells collaboration with the Cosbae's was such a success that we are already planning another group cosplay. I love this because with the Cosbae's I can see some of my group cosplay dreams come true. I mean, how much fun would an Avengers or a Justice League be?? I'm so excited for the future! @_@

We met Yaya Han at the convention. I was surprised she even attended such a small convention, especially one that is new to the game. She took pictures with us, and thought our DC Bombshells group was cute. It was so weird because I was standing next to her in the DC meetup group photos. I wasn't starstruck like most people are with her, but she was nice. A lot nicer that Monika Lee....

Yaya actually posted a photo of us on her facebook page. Once I saw that, I was like... WE'RE FAMOUS. *flips hair*

The cosplayer I was most EXCITED to see was Anthony Misiano aka Harley's Joker! I'm so glad he lives in NYC now. He attended NYCC, but not in his Joker get up because he had to maintain his beard for an acting commitment. It would of probably been sheer luck if we even found him at NYCC since it's such a large convention. We took tons of group pictures with him, and he even took selfies with me! I played it cool, but I was fangirling inside.

This was overall a good experience. We may start going to more local cons. It's funny because we are now a part of the local (NYC) cosplay community because I see people I've met since NYCC going to the Big Apple Comic Con in March. 2015 should be a fun year - Central Park events, Big Apple Comic Con, Special Edition, NYCC, Wintercon and potentially AC Boardwalk Con.
