Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2018

Since our flight was delayed from taking off on time due to a stupid snow storm, we were an hour late entering Magic Kingdom. We were on the runway for an extra hour because planes taking off in snow need to be de-iced. It was an interesting experience to say the least. Since I picked seats behind the wings in the back of the plane, we got to see airport personnel work their magic. I’ve never even taken off in rain before, let alone snow. Luckily, we were leaving Philly just as it started to snow so it didn’t really put a huge damper to the start of our vacation. I remember being initially pissed. Out of all fucking days... in November no less!

Once we got in the park, I made Miguel take pictures of me by the Castle lol. It was funny because that was the start of watching people copy my pictures and poses. Since we missed my first fastpass completely for Peter Pan’s Flight, we had to run over to the Haunted Manson. I love this ride, but I still wish Disney World did the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay too. We were able to get on quite a few rides before the Christmas party began, and take the Tangled photo-op. While we were in Tomorrowland getting sno-cones and hot chocolate, we stumbled upon the A Totally Tomorrrowland Christmas show. It was a cute show featuring Stitch, Buzz Lightyear and Mike Wazowski. The highlight of my night was seeing Stitch in a Santa suit. Unfortunately, there was no character appearance for Stitch.

When we got to Casey's Corner for a bite to eat, it was snowing on Main Street. I saw Disney Food Blog rave about the corn dog bites, so I wanted to try them. Miguel got one of those foot long hot dogs. The food was pretty decent, but expensive like everything else in Disney lol. I did not try any of the exclusives desserts for the Christmas party or any of the seasonal treats that they have this season. Now that I think about it, I didn’t even have the ice cream. The seasonal flavor for soft serve is peppermint though, which I do not like. My mom would buy the cherry flavored candy canes for Christmas because I hated peppermint lol. Desserts are hard for me because I have a small stomach and get full quickly. While I was planning for Disney, I saw so many treats I though were cute and wanted to try, but while I was in the park I realized they’d be too filling and sugary. Since it was just Miguel and I, I had no one to share with and he won't eat this kind of stuff. Disney food is pretty expensive, so it’s not worth buying if you are not going to finish it.

The only regrets I have for this Christmas party is we missed most of the parade, which I forgot doesn’t happen on regular park nights. I also didn’t get to every treat location, and missed out on the snowman soft pretzel and the apple cider. I realize I never venture into Frontierland because I never want to ride Splash Mountain and the line for Big Thunder Mountain is so long. Maybe, I should eventually get a fastpass for it one of these vacations but it’s gotten over shadowed by the Seven Dwarves Mine Train lol.

Next, Hollywood Studios...

There were so many rose backpacks in Tomorrowland! WTF.
