Castle Point Anime Con
We went to Castle Point Anime Con this past weekend since our friend MJ's birthday was on Saturday and she was guesting with Lua at this con in Jersey. They figured we'd make a weekend out of it.
On Saturday, everyone met up at the hotel we were staying at for the night, and then went to this pizza place that turned into a lounge after 10/11pm. I didn't try the pizza because Chinh said it was gross (first Jersey fail of the weekend). Good thing Chinh and I stopped at Shake Shack on the way. I can't drink on an empty stomach because I'd get wasted on one drink and then get sick lol. It was annoying because by the time we got there they wouldn't let us sit at the tables anymore, and so we couldn't eat the cake we got MJ or at least sit down to just eat the pizza.
I did have fun that night while we were on the dance floor with everyone. Truth be told though, I am too old and I get tired at 11pm lmao. I'm not a party person by any means, and this was the first time I drank liquor in such a long time. I usually just want to be in bed and watch Netflix in my PJs and no makeup. It was good I had those two drinks and shot because it made me forget about being tired and let me dance until I couldn't take it in my heels anymore. I must say all the girls looked HAWT that night. Although, Jaycee kept yelling at MJ to cover up lmao. I wore my PVC BlackMilk dress finally. A girl at the lounge told me she loved my aesthetic. I almost made it the whole night without being hit on by creepy guys. Almost...
It took a while for everyone to shower and settled down so we could go to bed finally. I only got about 2 hours of sleep. Surprisingly, I got ready without any issues and stayed awake the next day. Sunday did drag though, and we were done with the con by 3pm lol. I'm not interested in going back to that con again. I'll probably never go to another con in Jersey unless it's AC again for that matter. We had to find and pay for our own parking first off. Second, the people at the con were Nazis. I had to remember to carry my pass everywhere otherwise I couldn't get back in to Lua and MJ's booth. They wouldn't let you do anything inside the gym while you were there. No photography (including your phone). No eating. No drinking. No sitting. No pokemon battles? WTF. What did I pay $20 for??? Ashley took a photo of her friend taking a photo of MJ holding a cupcake and water while sitting. lmao. Jaycee ripped down the rules midway through the day. I cannot.
Literally, all I cared about was getting some shots of my Daenerys cosplay and that was it. I did a shoot with Jaycee by the castle area, and while we were there we found Jason luckily. I got some amazing shots back from Jason already. I love his work. I also got some shots in with Ron in my Targaryen BlackMilk dress since I was ready to change out of my costume by the time Ron got there lol. The bathroom was gross. There was water on the floor and it got on the bottom of my dress. Now, I'm skeved out and need to figure out how to wash the bottom of my dress. I seriously am starting to judge cons based on whether or not their bathrooms are clean. So far, Wintercon is winning...

We definitely decided not to go to AnimeNext. I honestly always figured we would just go to Eternal Con. It's just easier for us. It's on Long Island, so we don't have to pay for a hotel and plus, I assuming we can parking without hassle. I'm just not interested in going back to Jersey or going to an Anime con to be honest. I don't like Anime whatsoever, so any con with the word Anime in it doesn't interest me at all. I might bring back the Joker for Eternal Con.
Next up, Atlantic City in May! We bought our three day passes and booked a room for just the three of us finally. I feel better knowing that this has been taking care of. Now, I just have to complete my Harley and Thor costumes. I also should figure out what to wear for Friday. I might bring back Poison Ivy. Maybe, we'll do Gotham City Sirens again.
